Curriculum Development Leads

The Curriculum Development Lead (CDL) role forms an important part of the School Improvement Team. Our children deserve a broad, balanced, inclusive and ambitious curriculum and our schools strive to ensure we are always seeking for ways to make this curriculum better.  

Our trust Curriculum Development Leads provide subject specific support and training to Heads of Department and teachers across our secondary schools. Curriculum Development Leads are teachers and leaders in our schools who devote one day each week to subject and curriculum development. 

This includes:  

• Working in our schools and supporting the Head of Department 

• Supporting teachers to improve outcomes for all students 

• Giving regular subject specific lesson feedback to teachers 

• Developing curriculum resources to use across the trust
