Nic joined the trust in 2019 as a qualified accountant with an extensive and varied career across finance and operations. Having started her career in audit/tax in Devon she soon realised her passion was in supporting people and understanding the business - and has also worked in Hertfordshire and Somerset in the fields of manufacturing, accountancy/audit, independent schools and latterly social care. Her role as Chief Finance Officer enables her to support our academies with finance, IT, premises, operations and marketing in a trust which is passionate about making a difference to young people’s lives – something she is driven by and committed to support.
Nic is deeply person-centred in her approach and seeks to innovate and challenge the way in which we work to ensure we maximise ‘value for money’ whilst recognising that educating people is not just about providing a service – it’s about providing the best support to that young person to enable them to achieve the potential within the financial constraints we have.
