Bridgwater College Academy

Bridgwater College Academy is at the heart of the Sydenham community on the eastern side of the town of Bridgwater. 

Previously three predecessor schools, all of which had at some point in their recent past had struggled to be consistently ‘Good’ they converted to form an all-through school with the ambition of a radical redesign of education which sought to eliminate the disruption that comes from transition between schools.  Based on a profound set of shared values the Academy has been highly successful at raising rates of progress and attainment.  In 2016, 2017 and 2018  BCA was in the top 5% across Somerset for Progress 8 scores.
